Project Setup

  • Culled RAW files will be made available on the Clearshot SSD or via weblink if you don't have them already.

  • Save Lightroom catalogs to the SSD folder if not applicable, save it somewhere you can send it easily.

  • Use Clearshot presets and/or editing flow direction (branding tools folder).

Editing Flow

  • Adjust exposure, and white balance. Use the histogram for even lighting.

  • Crush shadows a bit. Boost natural skin tones (pink-red to warm yellow).

  • Moderate sharpening. Skip noise reduction unless needed.

  • Use Transform to straighten shots (try "Auto" or “Full”)

  • Set vignette to 100 for a clean, airy, flat look.

  • Clean up distractions where it counts. (best and most important 15%)

  • Black-and-white edits need heavier grain/texture and a balanced histogram.

Exporting

  • High-res JPEGs, 300 DPI (for print).

  • Find main moments: ceremony, speeches, key shots. Build above those. Tripod shots are your friend.

  • Strong intro: set the tone. Tell the viewer what it's about asap.

  • Add title right after the first few seconds

  • Add Clearshot's moving brandmark somewhere in the beginning and end

  • B-Roll: Best visuals, setting the scene, telling the story, keep these intentional, let them breathe.

  • Conclude with a very telling shot, often the best one of the day that encompasses the story

Style Tips

  • Skin tones come first.

  • Crush shadows. Lift blacks.

  • Keep histogram in check (0–100).

  • Transitions: stick to cuts/crossfades. Try masks if your up to it and it fits.

  • Audio matters: clean it up, balance with music. use adobe podcast to clean up recorded audio.

Exporting

  • Teaser can be 1080 (best for socials)

  • Highlight needs 1080 vertical and horizontal as well as 4k horizontal

  • Everything else in 4k.
